Port Talbot Bowling League - Division 2 finished 5th (9 clubs)

In local leagues and county competitions the club competed in singles, pairs,

triples and four teams. The solo success was in the u 16 singles at the West Glam County Championships, with Sam and Theo Roberts in the final: Sam as champion and Theo runner-up.

During March the concrete edging surrounding the green was replaced and returfed. Further improvements were made to the ditches.

Members are continuing to mow, spike, water and treat the green to maintain a good playing surface throughout the season. Likewise, there has been a good upkeep of the ground environs. We are currently waiting for the council to repair paving and ditch wall at the far end of the green.

The trustees wish to thank members who have given their time to maintain facilities at the grounds and look forward to the club having season next year.

The trustees declare they approved the trustees’ report and signed on behalf of the charity’s trustees.

Auditors

For year 1[st] Nov 2022 - 31[st] Oct 2023

Bank statements, cheque books and receipts were examined and cross referenced with entries and invoices.

Noted that cash in hand totals were large and this is due to the closure of HSBC, Port Talbot and the branch in Swansea now being the closest for transactions. Recommended that a more convenient bank be considered for the club’s financial business.
