## **AGM REPORT 12 MAY 2022**

## **Matthew 25:40 “Whatever you did for one of my brothers or sisters, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did for me.’**

____

It is good to report that after Covid most of us are back and whilst still acknowledging that ‘its still out there’ and appropriate precautions are being taken by our volunteers to minimise any infection.

The Food Bank is blessed to have such a wonderful, committed team of volunteers who work tirelessly together making what I see to be a happy working environment, non-judgemental, welcoming, and kind to all who enter the building, I thank them one and all, this project would not happen without these special people

Sadly, Joan has been unable to return to her duties each Thursday but faithfully participates in our meetings and she is welcome back whenever she feels able. On another sad note Brian our Treasurer has resigned as he is very poorly, and our thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult time.

Patrizia having had a background in book-keeping has picked up the work of the Treasurer and has been putting the accounts in order along with dealing with the new mandates for the bank.

This our 9[th] year and the outreach arm of the Food Bank continually networks mainly with Sutton Christian Fellowship and Sutton Academy.

Our sincere thanks go to all the funders who have helped us keep our cupboards full and thanks also go to the community both near and further away who have been so generous in their giving. During the year we have given gifts of food to 1938 people.

Thanks go to George Watson who continues to support our clients through the Social Inclusion Programme; through this Project we have welcomed Pam on board, she has many years’ experience working by helping people with their benefits and she attends every week and has been extremely busy. We have also welcomed Alison from the ‘Money Sorted’ project, Alison helps our clients with Budgeting and Energy issues, and both add value to our Project

Thanks go to the organizations that have continued to assist us during this year - the supermarkets, Notts CC, Ashfield DC, Ashfield Voluntary Action, as well as the extraordinary donations from schools and individuals.

Continued thanks go to Amanda who together with Greg continues to keep our Face Book page updated.

Donna continues to keep the allotment up and running again adding much value to the project.

I am not worried about repeating what I wrote last year in that I continue to believe that we are truly blessed, we may not be the biggest or the busiest but

what we do have is big hearts with the energy to work so that hopefully less people go hungry, and I repeat again what I reported last year and the year before - **you all are incredibly special people!**
