Volunteer professionals also gave pro-bono
support in facilitating on-line workshops,
well-being support for parents children and

vulnerable members via phone calls and
assisting with support such as picking up
shopping ,prescriptions and signposting to

members where made regularly by trained
volunteers and doorstep food delivery to
vulnerable families and individuals who had
to shield due to underlying conditions and
caring responsibilities including health and
online well-being sessions facilitated by
professionals which had a positive impact
on the social emotional and mental well-
being of community members. We also saw
an increase in individuals/families getting in
touch to request well-being checks and
sign posting to statutory services by our
social welfare volunteer advisors.
We saw an increase in donations of food
and essentials which we redistributed.
Families and individuals were made aware
of how to access specialist support
services and apply for additional help for
example we supported parents and carers
who faced digital exclusion in filling forms
for access to laptops, tablets, and fuel
cards , mobile top ups etc due to covid
lockdown, job loss, low income, disability
etc and this enabled children and young
people to access school work, and families
make connections etc|
