Apart from the first charity trustees who are appointed for a term of two Trustee selection methods years, every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a (eg. appointed by, elected by) resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. The only voting members are the charity trustees.

The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the company is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of the company, and are satisfied that systems and procedures are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. 

All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits.  Wealden Festival Foundation runs primarily through volunteers giving their time to the organisation.

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** 

The Charity has completed its fifth financial year.  The Trustees recognise the importance of maintaining a realistic level of unrestricted reserves in future to ensure that adequate funds are available to enable the charity to continue in its activities in the event of a drop in funding or any significant event. The Charity aims to achieve reserves equivalent to 6 months’ expenditure.
