|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|This period was spent in part in national<br>lockdown due to COVID-19.<br>We provided support to patients through<br>our support group who were experiencing<br>heightened distress at their skin condition<br>during this period.<br>We represented patients with vitiligo in the<br>NHS Dermatology Advisory Group in<br>dealing with the advent of teledermatology<br>for patients and representing concerns that<br>this might disadvantage vitiligo patients.<br>We continued to contribute to the British<br>Association of Dermatologists Guidelines<br>for managing patients with vitiligo<br>representing the practicalities of having the<br>skin disease, and the psychosocial impact<br>of the disease and providing a vital<br>treatment roadmap giving structure and<br>support to patients’ treatment journies.<br>We responded to patient queries through<br>our main engagement with our members,<br>the Facebook group, giving advice as to<br>how to access treatment using the<br>Guidelines mentioned above and<br>supporting people in their advocacy for<br>their skin disease.|

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|As a charity, we have worked hard to<br>ensure that vitiligo is represented as a<br>condition at the British Association of<br>Dermatologists (BAD) and in the NHS<br>Working Group relating to the management<br>of teledermatology.<br>We advocate for patients by representing<br>them on committees such as the Patient<br>Engagement Workstream at the BAD<br>where we ensure that we can canvass the<br>views of our members on issues that arise<br>in relation to current topics, such as the use<br>of images to triage patients into the<br>dermatology service.<br>We contributed to the “Vitiligo” chapter of<br>the book_Skin conditions in young people:_<br>_A practical guide on how to be comfortable_<br>_in your skin_by Tess McPherson in order to<br>help young people with vitiligo and educate<br>them about treatments for their condition<br>and managing its impact.<br>Our work on the Guidelines for managing<br>patients with vitiligo enabled us in particular<br>to represent the importance of including<br>psychosocial impact as an assessment|
