SHIA JAFARI MASHAYAKHI MOMIN JAMAT TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT (continued) PERIOD TO 31 MARCH 2025

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

During the year, the charity undertook several projects and activities that directly benefited the community and wider public.

The charity progressed its application and registration for a UK Sponsor Licence. This initiative was undertaken to enable the organisation to sponsor scholars from overseas, making it easier to invite qualified and knowledgeable individuals to contribute to educational, religious, and communityfocused activities. As a result, the charity successfully sponsored multiple well-known and respected scholars during the year. These scholars delivered lectures, classes, and programmes that enhanced community knowledge, education, and spiritual development, benefiting attendees from both the local area and beyond.

In addition, the charity registered the downstairs section of its education centre as an official place of worship. This application was approved by the local council. The registration has enabled the charity to lawfully provide a dedicated and accessible space for worship, religious learning, and community gatherings, thereby increasing engagement and participation from the local community.

The charity also provided support, assistance, and guidance following a death within the community. This included offering practical help, coordination, and advice to affected individuals and families during a difficult time, ensuring they received appropriate support and reassurance. This activity demonstrated the charity’s commitment to community care, welfare, and social responsibility.

Overall, these projects furthered the charity’s objectives by promoting education, religious understanding, community cohesion, and public benefit.
