2020 2021 report for Knighton show and carnival
This year the Knighton Show and Carnival committee decided to have a type of smaller show.
We named it Knighton fun day.
This was due to the uncertainty around covid restrictions in Wales at the time.
The committee gave ourselves a £3000 budget to retain funds for the future.
This was a free funday for all.
We had live music, children’s races, dog show, food stands, a soft drinks bar and a beer bar.
We had a lovely day that went down very well with the members of town, and holiday makers alike.
Later in the year we had our annual bonfire and fireworks display.
This comprised of a guy competition, free entry (that
Pepa Pig won) A large bonfire which all of town
contributing to with wood etcetera.
An entrance price of £10 a family of 4.
We spent £3000 on fireworks most of this was donations from local businesses.
We had a food van and a drink’s stall to.
We were very well supported by members of town and had a lovely if cold evening.
