They also monitor and advise on all matters relating to our statutory obligations. policies and procedures adopted for the induth'on and training of trustees; the charity's organisational structure and any wider network with which the charity works; relationship with any related parties; trustees, consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them. All Group Coaches are registered with the National offi￿ who review their qualification levels regularly. All Trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefrts Section C Objectives and activities The Objects are to promote Riding for the Disabled Association and incorporates Carriage Driving by providing disabled people with the opportunty to Ride andlor Carriage Drive to benefft their health and well- being Summary of the objects ofthe charlty sot out In Its govornlng document In planning our activities for a year we keep in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on Public Benefrt at our Trustee meetings. These all come from local Schools and those attending have been selected by the Schools. This activty takes place only during term time. Weekly carriage driving for adults with a disabilty and l or leaming dfficulty has not taken place during the period of this report due to the passing of our pony who has not yet been replaced. Both activities help to stimulate those taking part and it is believed that there is a great benefft to them from a health and well-being point of view. SEction D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity durlng the year We are now receiving children from 2 local schools catering for Special Educational Needs. Although another school sent some pupils during one te￿ when one of our nomial schools could not attend. During the period of Ihis financial year 310 riding opportunrties for the children l young adults to take part in the 53 riding sessions. Most gain a benefit from this opportunity and some progress very well within their individual capabilities. Section E Financial review Brlof statement of the charlty's policy on reserves We have a Restricted Funds account which had a balance of £3,963 at the end of the financial year. This represents a legacy for the upkeep, insurance, health requirements or replacement of the Pony used to pull the carriage. The income this year has primarily come from fundraising activities supported by donations for which we are grateful and came from local people and local charities. The main expenditure during the year has been the cost of hiring ponies for the young disabled people to ride. Plus our membership subscription to the National Body and Insurance.
