and governance to maintain a
Romanian Orthodox church
parish on Merseyside for use by
the public of the region and
elsewhere. This will include:
b) Raising awareness and
understanding of the Orthodox
Christian church in the local
community.

activities in relation to those
purposes for the public

activities, projects or
services identified in the

which itself provides regular services
of the orthodox Christian faith in its

have provided the church building (it
was previously derelict) and the

funds for the repair, improvement and

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 The charity has made many contributions
to the church fabric and facilities over
recent years. Indeed, there are very few
improvements which need to be made.
Post pandemic, the numbers attending
services have steadily risen back to what
they were previously. Indeed, our small
church is often overwhelmed on Sundays.
This is a very good outcome but is
becoming an issue due to covid being ever
present and because there is no possibility
of expansion of our current church. As we
are financially in a good position at the end
of this year, we are actively considering
trying to acquire another larger church to
provide a place of worship in Liverpool as
well as our current church on the Wirral.
Currently we are in discussions with the
Liverpool Catholic Diocese about moving

into a vacant church building in Liverpool
