Parochial Church Council of All Saints with St Columb, Notting Hill Notes to the Financial Statements For the year ending 31 December 2024 AccoupifiNG POUCIES The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Church Accountin8 Regulations 1997 as amended by the Church Accounting IAmendmentl Regulations 2001 together with applicable accounting Standards and the Charities SORP. The financial statement5 have been prepared under the historical cost convention except for the valuation of investment a55ets. which are shown at market value. Fund5 General fund5 represent the funds of the PCC that are not subject to any restrictions regarding their use and are available for application on the general purposes of the PCC. Funds designated for a particular purpose by the PCC are also unrestricted. The accounts include all transactions, assets and liBbilitie5 for which the PCC is re5pon5ible in law. They do not incllsde the accounts of church groups that owe their main affiliation to another body or those that are informal gatherings of church members. Incoming resources Voluntary income and capital sources CollecLions are recognised when received by or on behalf of the PCC. Planned 8i¥ing receivable under Gift Aid is recognised only when received. Income tax recoverable on Gift Aid on donation5 is recognised when the income is recognised. Grants and legacies to the PCC are accounted for as soon a5 the PCC is notified of its legal entitlement, the amount due is quantifi3ble and it5 ultimate receipt by the PCC is reasonably certain. Funds raised by bazaars and similar event5 are accounted for gross. Sales of books and magazines from the church bookstall are accounted for 8ross. Other income Rental income from the lett5ng of church premises is recognised when the rental is due. Income from investments Dtvidends are accounted for when due and payable. Interest entitlements are accounted for as they accrue. Tax recoverable on such income is recognised in the same accounting year. Resources used Grants Grants and donations are accounted for when paid over, or when awdrded, if that award creates a binding obligation on the PCC. Activities directly relatsd to the work of the Church The diocesan parish share is accounted for when paicl. Any parish share unpaid at 31 December is provided for in these accounts as an operational IthouEh not a legall liability and is shown as a creditor in the Balance Sheet Fixed assèts Consecrated property and movable church furnishings Consecrated and beneficed property of any kind is excluded from the accounts by 5.96{2lla) ol the Charities Act 1993. Movable church furnishings held by the Vicar and Churchwarden5 on special trust for the PCC, and which require a faculty for disposal. are accounted a5 inalienable property unless consecrated. They are listed in the Church's inventory which can be inspected lat any reasonable timel.

Individual items of equipment with a purchase price of £1,500 or less are written off when the asset is 3cquired. Due to receipts and payments accounts all c05t are accounts for in the same year Current assets Amount5 owing to the PCC at 31 December in respert of fees, rents or other income are shown as debtors less provision for amounts that may prove uncollectabSe. Short-term deposits include cash held on deposit elther with the CBF Church of England Funds or at a bank. Fixed assets for for use the PCC The PCC has no tangible Pixed assets in the form of freehold land and buildings or investment fixed a55ets such as money set asidefor investment and income purpose5 only. The PCC does own office equipment including a photocopier, PC and fax machine. Given the age of these items however. the PCC considers their value to be nil. Fund Detai15 The restr4tted funds are comprised of.. The Church Repair Fund, which is funds raised for and grants made towards the major repair and improvement costs of the interior and exterior of the church building and the garden. For year ending 31/1212024 a VAT reclaim was received of £537.76 - £7,499.20 worth of expenditure was incurred (including £3,360 in loan repayments). The Children's Fund receives grant5 from two charities to advance religious education amongst the Sunday School children and provide them with treats. For year ending 3111212024 no money wa5 received from the charities: £635AO expenditure was incured. The Foodbank Projett is an intiative that provides emergency *ood and support to people in need. For year ending 31112/2024 the income was £1.540 and expenditure amounted to £5.066.20
