We do this by attending<br>other faith group meetings to introduce<br>ourselves and allow others to ask<br>questions about our religion etc. We also<br>plan to invite local council members and<br>community faith leaders to our events.<br>5. To help with fundraising projects in the<br>local community for the benefit of the<br>whole community - Foodbank, Warm<br>clothing collection drive etc . We aim to<br>get our members involved in social and<br>community projects on the Fylde Coast.<br>6. We have established our own<br>Community Centre for social and<br>religious activities for our members.|

volunteer basis. As such our past achievements would not be possible without the wonderful work of all our volunteers. As with previous years large parts of 2023 has been spent fundraising and continue to seek out donations to help consolidate our main longer-term goal which is to have a selfsustaining community and faith centre in Lytham St Annes. As previously mentioned in previous Trustee Annual Reports this goal was seen to its fruition in the middle part of 2020 when we purchased a local building with the aim of refurbishing it into a modern centre. Our trustees and other volunteers have been exceptional in assisting our cause. The results of our fundraising endeavours can be clearly seen to have been a success when you look at the finances for the charity over the past couple of years. Also having a “no-time reimbursement” policy where we rely solely on volunteers has helped further shore up our finances. Not applicable Other

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|Having started the 2023 financial year with a<br>cash asset amount of close to twenty-nine<br>thousand pounds we continued with the<br>push for donations throughout the year in<br>order to secure the long term future of the<br>society and the community centre building.<br>The year 2023 saw us secure donations in<br>excess of twenty thousand pounds. As we<br>are registered to reclaim GiftAid we were<br>able to reclaim further funds of<br>approximately £9,200. Outgoings were<br>limited to utilities, professional fees and<br>capital expenses related to the premises<br>upkeep costs. This amounted to outgoings of<br>approximately nine thousand pounds,<br>leaving us with a healthy cash asset position<br>of £53,250 in the charity’s current account as<br>of 31stDecember 2023.|

We are mindful of the need for<br>continual programs of repairs and<br>refurbishments that will be required when<br>operating a community centre for public use.<br>The rising energy costs have also been<br>factored into future expenses. We have<br>therefore decided to set the reserve amount<br>at £15,000 (uncreased from previously set<br>ten thousand pounds due to inflationary<br>pressures) – with the aim of revisiting and<br>reassessing this at the end of next financial<br>year depending on what day to day liabilities<br>may arise. As at 31/12/23 the charity<br>continues to only have ongoing regular<br>expenditures related to the community<br>centre building (utilities and maintenance)<br>and no outstanding long-term debt.|

||I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above<br>charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2023.<br>As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the<br>accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011<br>(“the Act”).<br>I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out<br>under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I<br>have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission<br>under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.|||



**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
