Para 1.17 | The objects of the CIO are: To further or benefit the residents of the parish of Muggleswick and surrounding areas without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. In furtherance of these objectives but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power: To establish or secure the establishment of a parish hall and to maintain or manage or cooperate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a hall for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objectives. |

Muggleswick Parish Community Association has held numerous events throughout the year, as well as annual fundraising events held by the committee the hall has been hired by third parties. Our annual events included a summer fair and Christmas coffee morning. Third parties including various Air Cadet groups and colleges have hired the hall. Social evenings were held in the hall following Muggleswick All Saints Church harvest festival and carol service. |

SORP reference We have also successfully fundraised for both Muggleswick and Waskerley churches throughout the year.
