Financial report 2022-2023

For the financial year 2022-2023 All In Youth in partnership with OCL and CIC Purple Rose runs three weekly food and clothing banks and through the partnership have applied for more funding to meet need particularly as people are staying at the foodbanks for longer due to the cost of living crisis. The committee agree reserves of £4000 be marked as restricted for 22/23 in anticipation of raising venue costs due to energy increases.

In partnership with Teesside University and MIMA we held a series of an anti-racism workshops which was initially planned for 7 months but a donation allowed the project to continue until September 2023. £2000 has been allocated to continue the anti-racism series for 23/24.

All In pays the wages and oncosts of 2 full time staff and funds a further staff member who works for our partner CIO OCL. The staff plan and weekly programs for people living in poverty who experience discrimination including vulnerable people, children and young people and people who speak English as a second language. We deliver activities every day of the week from 4 venues across Teesside to diverse groups including men, women and children, from globally ethnic majority backgrounds. We continue working with organisations as advocates on anti-racism and the importance of embedding anti-racist practice and thinking and this work has expanded. A major cost increase has been transport - to support young people and families to access food banks and dance activities. Further funding will be needed to cover costs as we anticipate they could increase to £5000 per year. To manage this increase, no new families can access the transport fund until we have secured further funding.

We worked in partnership with Stockton Council and Arc International arts centre to plan and deliver a series of activities for Refugee week 2023 which took place in the last week of June and we ran a summer holiday program from July – August 2023 in partnership with smaller orgs in Middlesbrough and Stockton. Some of the underspend from 21/22 was allocated to these activities which were hugely successful in terms of attendance, positive mind activities, increase in well-being and making friends
