The Hamiony Centre Chair's Report for the Year Ended 31 March 2024 Throughout this year Harmony has continued to deliver a comprehensive programme of drop-in activities. we have completed another successful year of our contract with the NHS to provide crisis support and suicide prevention through the Community Front Room service and the team staged a great partnership event, "And Breathe" in October to celebrate what we do, and to raise awareness and redu stigma around mental health. However the most significant developments have been those enabled by the support of the National Lottery Communities Fund, whose funds have started to make a real difference to how we work this year. Previously, every aspect of the charity's work was managed by one full time employee, Trustees were providing operational support on a voluntary basis, and the systems underpinning our excellent front line services had not kept pace with the growth in the activity we were delivering. or the levels of funding needed to support those. So, with the support of the National Lottery and our other very generous funders. 2023124 has been a year of change. In the Autumn we completed a staff restructure. Our long term service manager was promoted to CEO - a part time role in which she can focus on our strategic development, innovation and partnership building and we created two new posts (Operational Manager
The Hamiony Centre Chairfs Report for the Year Ended 31 March 2024 and Administrator) to oversee all aspects of the day to day operational management of the organisation. This additional capacity enabled us to plan a move to larger more accessible premises on the nearby St Michael's Trading Estate. I look fonNard to reporting next year on our successful relocation and the impact this has had on our staff and the outcomes they can deliver for our beneficiaries. The National Lottery grant also enabled us to computerise our financial management systems in readiness for the 24125 financial year- this will improve the efficiency of our day to day administration and will improve the data underpinning our ongoing fundraising. Another new development which we have been busy laying the foundations for this year. and which I look forward to reporting on next year. is the implementation of a comprehensive data management system. This will provide us with much needed ntelligence from which we can drive fOrard service improvements, new service developments and our fundraising. This year has also seen some changes in our Trustee team. I was delighted to take on the position of Chair at our AGM in November 2023, and we are very grateful to Anne Bark for joining us as our new Secretary, and to Ragn Banton for bringing her wealth of public sector service management expertise to our team. It was with sadness, and sincere thanks, that we said goodbye to Jane Brennan and Tegwyn Jones, and we wish them both well. As ever, we could do nothing without the dedication and skill of our staff. volunteers and the support of our wider cA)mmunity, and I would like to thank them for their unwavering support throughout the year.
