Annual Report for Rainbow Flyers Youth Club 2021/22
We were finally able to reopen our club sessions on 3[rd] October,2021, however a few of our members chose not to return, either because the young people felt they had outgrown us or the families had found an alternative way to spend their Sunday afternoons. We tried to keep as many of our usual activities going for our members, but chose not to have our annual summer outing in July to preserve our funds. This is because we had chosen not to do any fund raising or apply for any funding this year.
Our only income of £232 came from our session subscriptions and a £10 donation from a parent.
The Youth Centre stakeholders, who we hire our venue from, agreed to waive the £220 rent owed from 2020/21 as they received a grant from the Government as a small business for loss of income during Covid, that more than covered it. Therefore we no longer have this debt to pay.
Our total expenditure for the year was £366.24, ending the year with a balance of £989.43. This was spent on weekly activities and the young people’s Christmas gifts. We will have our rent for this year of £280 to pay meaning our actual end of year balance should be £709.43.
We are still not in a position to change our bank account as we still need parents willing to be signatories, nor as yet can we add any new trustees. We hope any new member families will be willing to join our administration.
