**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document**

(iii) To advance the Christian faith in the UK and Serbia.

**In planning activities for the year, the trustees reviewed the guidelines at our meetings. When presented, projects were evaluated against our objectives. Similarly in the review stages, they were evaluated against aims post-project.**

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

**Building Communities** – _To relieve people in Serbia who are in need by virtue of youth, financial hardship or social and economic disadvantage_ . The Christmas Legacy programme partners two families – one in the UK and one in Serbia. The food vouchers, as a gift, relieve the financial hardship of the Serbian family. This year we maintained again the partnerships established in 2017.

We have additionally maintained the sponsorship established by some of our UK partners.

It is our expectation that these relationships will continue to be built on each year.

## **Love Without Borders’ Retreat –**

_(i) To advance in life young people in the UK through the provision of opportunities and support for projects in Serbia with the object of raising the individual skills, capabilities and competencies of the volunteers to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible citizens._

_(ii) To relieve people in Serbia who are in need by virtue of youth, financial hardship or social and economic disadvantage._ A larger international team travelled to Novi Sad, Serbia. The focus of their development was on the planning and leadership of creative, wellbeing and team tasks. They curated a programme for single parent families – it focused on parenting, child development and holistic wellbeing.

## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grantmaking;

- policy programme related investment;

- Contributions made by volunteers.

Section D                      Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main** Challenges post-pandemic have continued to significantly impact our **achievements of the charity** volunteer capacity. Despite this, once again our achievement was **during the year** maintaining all established projects from 2023 – - Maintained regular donor enabling a sustained reserve amount in the accounts - Christmas Legacy project has maintained secure links and relationships between two communities. This vision has developed with different ways the families are contributing to one another. In addition, we successfully head our second _Love Without Borders_ Family Retreat; in partnership with Serbian NGO _A Place for Me_ . Building on the success of the first year, we extended the retreat and ran it in a different location. This year there was no central fundraiser – all individuals in the volunteer team raised money in independent projects.

## **Section E                    Financial review**

There has been a regular donation of approximately £25 per month which **Brief statement of the** is contributed as a reserve. This money is utilised to supplement any **charity’s policy on reserves** unexpected costs, and to buffer fees that are required through our online donation system. In addition to supporting payments for liability insurance. **Details of any funds materially in deficit**
