of hot, cooked meals
and care packs to the homeless and
rough speakers in Bristol
City Centre, each weekend in the year.
We have looked to engage the local
community through
engaging volunteers (recruited through
social media posts), the
local university, local schools and by
engaging local businesses.
Continuation of our foodbank services
was supported via the charity van which
is used to provide groceries to people
who are homeless or rough sleeping.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
Para 1.18 The trustees of Feed the Homeless
confirm that they have had regard to the
Charity Commission’s guidance on
public benefit when reviewing the
charity’s aims and objectives, setting
strategic priorities, and planning its
activities.
In 2023–2024, Feed the Homeless
continued to deliver its charitable
purpose of relieving poverty and social
exclusion through the provision of food,
essential supplies, and community
connection to over 300 individuals
weekly. The trustees actively considered

the benefit to the community, ensuring services remained accessible, inclusive, and responsive to local need. The trustees also evaluated potential risks, safeguarding practices, and operational impact to ensure that any private benefit arising from the charity’s activities remained incidental. Governance decisions—including policy reviews, funding strategies, and stakeholder engagement—were aligned with the public benefit principles to uphold the dignity and wellbeing of those served.
