We have undertaken weekly distribution of hot, cooked meals and care packs to the homeless and rough speakers in Bristol City Centre, each weekend in the year. We have looked to engage the local community through engaging volunteers (recruited through social media posts), the local university, local schools and by engaging local businesses. Continuation of our foodbank services was supported via the charity van which is used to provide groceries to people who are homeless or rough sleeping. |

Para 1.38 | Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and all ages, we have supported a steady number of younger volunteers with the achievement of the Duke of Edinburgh awards and they have gained knowledge of the causes and impacts of homelessness, experienced working as a team to provide a vital service and interacting with those in need in a positive and supportive environment. We have also continued to enjoy strong relationships with local and national businesses through a range of initiatives and direct engagement, which has provided opportunities to access regular good quality support and donations and provide those business with an opportunity to learn about the challenges caused by food poverty and enrich their understanding of the local environment and volunteering |

Responsibilities and basis of report
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 10 / 2023 .
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
