Chairs Report

2025

Welcome to our AGM for the year ending December 2025

It is with great sadness that I have to report the sad loss of Glenys Hale, a founder member of the gardening club and a long standing Trustee of the Manor Hall.

Glenys served on this committee for many years and will be greatly missed, we will now hold a minute's silence in her honour.

1m silence.

To remember her dedication and commitment to the hall and gardening club we will be planting a shrub and plaque in the garden in an area that Glenys and I planted some years ago and is fondly remembered as Glenys’s corner.

I can report that the hall goes from strength to strength and we have managed to maintain our occupancy rate throughout the year. I would like to thank Alison Allan, our hall manager, for her hard work throughout the year.

We also rely on several volunteers, Alan Mathews and Kevin grass cutting Mark Hill car park weeding Fergus Allan gardening and anything involving a ladder and IT support who have again enabled us to maintain the building and our main building contractor Andy Ross who has been on hand to advise how to best maintain this historic building.

Thank you to my fellow Trustees for their hard work this year and look forward to 2026 with you all.

Vice chair.
