## **Objectives and activities**
For the public benefit to promote the education of young people in Ghana by awarding scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants to support further or higher education. To provide and prepare learners for entry into an occupation, trade or profession on leaving full time school and assist in developing life skills needed for independent living.

To fund raise and gain sponsorship for learners to complete appropriate training / educational courses.

All trustees of Learning For Life Ghana are volunteers and do not receive any financial remuneration for their efforts in achieving the aims of the charity.

The FCDO 'Tools For Teachers' project continues to bring positive feedback and skills learned continue to be shared amongst local teachers and the children are forging ahead with their literacy skills. Schools in UK are sharing their surplus resources which LFLG have sent to be shared in Ghanaian schools. The Ghanaian pupils learning experience has been enhanced and lending libraries have been established in several schools. Ghana Education Service personnel monitoring these schools continue to be impressed that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results in these schools have maintained steady improvement year on year over the last 5 years. The profile of these schools has risen, resulting in happy children, happy parents, proud teachers, satisfied GES inspectors, and more guardians wanting to enrol their wards. This in turn brings more funds into the school and makes it self-sustaining.
LFLG volunteers in Ghana and UK continue to oversee the establishment of young learners into further and higher education training opportunities.
LFLG have a strong policy portfolio in place that is reviewed annually by the trustees.

Achievements and performance

LFLG is presently supporting 16 students in a variety of learning environments : University (following degrees in Nursing & Midwifery, Psychology, Business Studies, Health Science, and Teaching) Technical University for Fashion Design and Textiles SHS
Physiotherapy College
Apprenticeships in mechanical engineering, constructional engineering, electrical engineering and hair and beauty. IT training school following a variety of computer courses.
8 learners completed their studies/training courses this year and have all now gained full time employment..
Provided early years and primary classroom resources for teachers and pupils in several schools in the greater Accra district.
Collection of donated educational resources shipped to Ghana and distributed to schools and young learners.
Detailed due diligence portfolio of Learning For Life Ghana policies updated and signed by trustees.
Funds raised through a 25 Year Celebration event ‘UK Miles for Ghana Smiles’ in the summer of 2025.
