For the public benefit to promote the education of young people in Ghana by awarding scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants to support further or higher education. To provide and prepare learners for entry into an occupation, trade or profession on leaving full time school and assist in developing life skills needed for independent living.

All trustees of Learning For Life Ghana are volunteers and do not receive any financial remuneration for their efforts in achieving the aims of the charity.

The FCDO project 'Tools For Teachers' was finally completed this year and given an A+ grading. Outcomes exceeded expectations with all targeted outputs achieved. UKAid noted, that due to interventions shared in the training, there was a significant improvement in primary reading age of more than 6 months (Initial testing of over two thousand children identified most children’s reading age was less than half their actual age). 

The project trained 180 Ghanaian teachers in how to support children with SEN in their classroom. The training was from a literacy perspective and gave guidance, advice and resources to each teacher. Identifying local ‘hub teachers’ to promote new teaching techniques has made the training locally sustainable. 

LFLG have a strong policy portfolio in place that is reviewed annually by the trustees.

LFLG is presently supporting 24 students in a variety of learning environments : University (following degrees in Economics, Health Science and Chemistry) SHS Catering School Seamstress School Physiotherapy College Apprenticeships in mechanical engineering, constructional engineering, electrical engineering and hair and beauty. IT training school following a variety of computer courses. 

11 learners completed their studies/training courses this year and have now gained full time employment. 

Provided early years and primary classroom resources for several schools in the greater Accra district. 

Collection of donated educational resources shipped to Ghana and distributed to schools and young learners. 

Detailed due diligence portfolio of Learning For Life Ghana policies updated and signed by trustees.
