For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention in the Turkish Republic of
North Cyprus (TRNC). To educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare. To prevent cruelty and suffering to
animals. To actively seek homes for rescued animals. To reduce the stray dog and cat population by means of neutering
and re-homing.
- Neutering
- Re-homing
Reducing the stray dog population
Reducing the pain and suffering of animals
Educating the public in animal welfare
Future objectives of Hope 4 Pets (H4P) are:
To purchase land to build our own kennels, so reducing the cost of kennel fees.
To purchase a van to enable large kennels and crates to be moved around the TRNC, and to also enable dogs/cats to be
taken with their crates to the airport for travel.
To purchase a PC and a printer/scanner in the TRNC to enable trustees to copy documentation (currently using their
own tablets and phones and have no printer/scanner).
To increase the number of dogs/cats neutered in 2025/26.
To purchase a dog catching device and further cat catching traps.
- To grow the profile of H4P within the TRNC and the UK with non Facebook users.
Recruit volunteers to help with the day to day running of the charity in the TRNC and in the UK.
Public benefit
The trustees of H4P have reviewed the guidance on Public Benefit which was sent electronically for them to read.
The public benefit of H4P is to reduce the amount of stray dogs roaming the towns, villages and land looking for food,
killing livestock and injuring people.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities
Through our Facebook page, website and hands on, we have helped the public of the TRNC to neuter their own animals
via a voucher scheme which has been set up with vets in the TRNC, on production of a voucher to the Vet, which they
get from H4P, the public pay half the cost of neutering their cat/dog. The voucher scheme is working very well.
We have advised owners on feeding, neutering and exercise of their pets and introduced them to the voucher scheme.
We have re-homed hundreds of stray cats and dogs in the TRNC. We neuter all the animals we re-home and pay for this
in full, not through the voucher scheme.
TRNC has a large elderly UK/European community. We have helped pet owners of any nationality relocating to the
UK/Europe with advise, paperwork and raising funds to get their pets to the UK and Europe.
We have advised the public, provided funding and taken stray animals requiring vet treatment to be seen by the vet.
These include emergency treatment for road traffic accidents, treatment for dogs with behavioural problems, eye
problems and non-emergency treatment such as flea/tick treatment.
We have reduced the number of dogs and cats roaming the streets, via neutering and re-homing, this in turn has reduced
the number of casualties of road traffic accidents and the number of dogs being reported as attacking sheep and chickens
owned by the public.
We have provided food to members of the public who feed large numbers of stray cats/dogs, and again paid for
neutering of the animals when required.
We have provided wooden kennels for stray animals where they have no shelter and where there is a need.
Fundraising activities
H4P raised £55,127 in funds from a variety of different platfornis, GoFundMe, PayPal, Easyfundraising, and by selling
items such as promotional Calendars, Cards, and also donated items of bric a brac. We also hold social events in the
TRNC for the benefit of H4P, such as dog shows and quiz nights.
H4P are slowly improving the lives of the street animals of the TRNC, with vet care, shelters and food. We are also
removing the street animals via re-homing and reducing the amount of puppies born on the streets by neutering.
The number of sick and injured dogs/cats being reported to us by the public is also slowly reducing.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Principal funding sources
Sources of funding are the public, through GoFundMe, PayPal, Easyfundraising, and selling of promotional goods and
donated goods. Occasional social events are organised to promote H4P where we run various fundraising activities such
as raffles, quiz and auctions.
All the funds used to enable our objectives to be achieved was donated by the public.
We have no other means of funding.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves policy
Whilst Hope 4 Pets does not have a strict reserves policy, it does have reserves of £50,324 as at the year end 30th April
2025.
This level of reserves equates to approximately 70 % of the funds raised during the financial period. Whilst this shows a
healthy level of reserves, the charity's trustees believe that these reserves will be needed for the future expenditure and
objectives of the business as mentioned in the Objectives & Activities section of the Trustees Report.
These funds may also be needed for unexpected or unforeseen emergencies in which the charity will need cash readily
available.
The charity's income relies solely on donations and the sale of donated goods. The charity therefore believes that this
level of funds may help towards an unexpected drop in donations which could impact the charity's activities.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by the Charitable Incorporated Organisations
(General) Regulations 2012 ('General Regulations,) from the date it was registered (21 st October 2016).

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
