## **ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS**
The Trustees wish to thank everyone involved at 1[st] West Moors Scout Group for their continued support in allowing Oakhurst Community Hub to run its activities from its premises in Hardy Road.
The Board also extended their heartfelt appreciation for the support of Mr N Cunningham in serving as a Trustee and who has now retired from his role. The Board value the contribution he has made to the different projects that have been delivered in the local community.
## **SUCCESS IN THE YEAR**
Oakhurst Community Hub was able to provide support to families from the local area through the provision of free Family Activity Days during the school holidays. These activities involve different craft activities where all generations work together. Refreshments are provided by the Hub team and families bring their own picnic lunch to enjoy as part of the day.
These regular activities have provided a life line to those families who are unable to afford a holiday or day trips out and provide important connection for parents; structure and focused activities for children and enjoy and the opportunity for friendships to develop.
## **CHALLENGES IN THE YEAR**
The main challenges experienced during the year are the challenges finding new Trustees; securing additional funding; recruitment of additional volunteers to share work of running the activities; sponsorship of regular events; donations of art & craft materials, refreshments needed. The ongoing cost of living challenges, the reduction of available funding for charities through grants and the lack of a dedicated fundraising volunteer have resulted in no additional income being secured in this reporting year. The Charity continues to have few outgoings and has built financial capacity to withstand this in the current year
## **STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT**
We have continued to receive positive feedback from those supported during the year which demonstrate the value and need for Oakhurst Community Hub to exist.
## **FUTURE PLANS & PRIORITIES**
- Secure additional funding
- Recruit and appoint new Trustees
- Development of a planned marketing strategy to promote work of Oakhurst Community Hub
- Identify and reach new families who would benefit from the activity days in school holidays
