Objectives..
Oakhurst Community Hub is established to support the community of West
Moors in Dorset with actrvities to enhance life such as fitness groups, cookery
groups, Jobclubs. family education, adult literacy and numeracy classes, health
and well-being classes
Public Benefrt:
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of section
4 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance
published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The Trustees wish to thank the I West Moors Scout group for allowing them to use their premise
throughout 2022 for community activities. This practical support has ensured Oakhurst Community
Hub has fulfilled its charltable objectives for the public benefit.
ACTIVITIES
During 2022 the Charity ha5 successfully supported the community of West Moors with two key
activities that have been well attended by different sectors of communitv.
111 Monthly Community coffee mornings. These have seen a cross-sertion of the community
attend which ha5 resulted in friendships across different generation getting established. This
has helped to reduce social isolation. Each month there has been a different focus or activity
sometimes with visitin8 speakers from other local agencie5 or support groups.
121 Family Artivity Days. These have taken place during school holidays and provide the
opportLsnity for families to join together for a strurtured day of craft and games. Families bring
their own picnics to enjoy together during the day. These family fund days have been attended
well and those families who have come along have found them a lifeline during the School
holidays.
FUNDING
The charity received two grants during the year enabling it to invest in its rr infrastructure with of
equipment and ongoing IT ssjpport as well as funding support activitie5 for the community.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Feedback from those supported during the year demonstrated the value and need for Oakhurst
Community Hub to exist.
FUTURE PLANS & PRIORITIES
The Board identified the need to engage its community through a range of different media
Including social media. To this end. Oakhurst Community Hub created a Facebook page and
Instagram account to help raise awareness of the project and its activitie5.
Partnerships continue to remain a priority. Throughout the year, conversations with I" West
Moors Scout Group continued on projetts that both groups could partner on together.
The Board agreed to put on hold the recruitment of new Trustees until regular Hub actlvities
started again post the global pandemic. It remains a priority for the Board.
The need to launch regular community Coffee Mornings in 2022 to engage and support those
affected by the Pandemic, particularly those facing loneliness and isolation.
