|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The Associations aim ‘to advance the education<br>of Young People in all aspects of watersports’<br>was achieved by a programme of events during<br>the year. Our annual programme of activities<br>include:-<br>Managing and operating our dedicated water<br>sports centres at**Fishmoor**(Blackburn) &**Spade**<br>**Mill**(Longridge) reservoirs. These venues were<br>open between March and Oct for our members<br>to allow small groups of Young People (YP) to<br>enjoy water activities e.g. paddling and sailing.<br>**NB – ‘Waterdays’**our annual watersports<br>weekend for circa 250 YP planned for 22/23rd<br>July 2023 on Lake Conistion had to be cancelled<br>due to extreme weather conditions.<br>New**Fishmoor Boathouse**fundraising during<br>2023/24 did not progress further however with<br>planning fees this now stands at £3,576 to be<br>used towards further planning & building costs.<br>**Spade Mill Building**sailing improvements were<br>completed during 2023/24 with the refurbished<br>safetyboat SB3.|
