This is the annual report of the Kent Disability Support Foundation as required by the Charity Commission. It covers the Foundation’s financial year 2024/2025. The KDSF is a charitable incorporation (CIA) which was first registered on 18[th] October 2016 ( originally as the Shed Foundation and amended as above in 2024). The principal office of the Foundation is 15, Lynton Road, Hythe, Kent. CT21 6DB.
The trustees at the time of writing are Diane Marley, Monica Springett, Adama Mahone and Christopher Mark Hoyal. There are no external organizations which may nominate trustee positions.
What the KDSF does
The KDSF exists to support adults with learning difficulties in the local Kent area by assisting in accredited learning in craft, art, drama, dance, sports, community and environmental activities. Occasional outdoor and other venues are regularly used for these purposes. The objects of the KDSF are:-
The Kent Disability Support Foundation aims to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health issues and learning difficulties. To create more cohesive communities within Kent by raising awareness and acceptance. To reduce social isolation,
increase life opportunities and offer recovery and support services to people with learning difficulties and mental health issues.
