The Shed Foundation

This is the annual report of the The Shed Foundation
as required by the Charity Commission. It covers the Shed
Foundation financial year 2023/2024. The Shed Foundation
is a Charitable Incorporation (CIA) which was first registered
on 18th October 2016. The principal office of the
Foundation is Park House, Park Road, Hythe, Kent,
CT216DJ.
The trustees at the time of writing are Monica Springett,
Adama Mahone, Maria White, David White, Diane Marley,
and newly assigned Christopher Mark Hoyal and Samantha
Marley. There are no external organizations which may
nominate trustee positions.
What the Shed Foundation does
The Shed Foundation exists to support the work of the
Shed facility which provides a continuous 5-6 day program
of accredited learning in craft, art, drama. dance,
sports, community and environmental activities.
Occasional outdoor and other venues are regularly used.
The objects of The Shed Foundation are:

Strategies for the year=
To continue to raise awareness of the Shed in local and
wider communities.
To seek out additional funding sources.
To maintain mobility for students to outdoor activities and
venues.
To continue to organize fundraising events.
Finances:
All expenditures and financial decisions were approved t)y
the trustees. The annual account which is submitted with
this report indicates the areas of expenditure and the
sources of income.
Achievements:
Contact with regular funders has been maintained: but
financially hard times by many, did make fundraising more
difficult.
The trustees still raised a substantial sum through
fundraising events. The money raised has been mainly
spent on students activities (Discobility, Pantomime).
Strengthening the Trusiees:
As a direct result of its outreach work two new trustees
have come on board bringing fresh background and
experience.
End of year summary:
The trustees did provide financial and personal suppo￿.
for the students throughout the period. Their charitable
work in the town Is more widely recognizèd.
