Para 1.20 | This year we have had had five players Lewis King, Joe Coyd, Dan Edwards, Fred Nye, James Hazel and Freya Levy called up to the England squad and also Pete Johnston and Rick Rodgers called up to the Ireland squad. This is a huge achievement now having seven international players, all of which have represented there countries in numerous test matches this year some of which was aired live on BBC television. The Argonauts, the charity, have a first team The skeleton army in the super league and a second team The demi gods in the southern development league. The skeleton army came third in the league and faired well in the challenge cup making it to the final against Leeds Rhinos which was also aired live on the BBC. The charity has also had a rise in numbers with a number of new members joining the club, with a variety of disabilities- physical and learning- non disabled with a wide range of age and genders. Once again we have enjoyed several occasions of publicity in the local news papers as well as a number of the players representing England doing TV interviews with news channels and also radiointerviews both nation wide, |
