families, by providing them with opportunities that
theymaynot otherwise be able to achieve
Summary of the main

Para 1.17 and
1.19
The charity exists to provide young people with the
financial and organisational means to experience
events and experiences that may ease the burden of
the life limiting illness or condition that they are
experiencing.
With the help of the relevant health care
professionals, we aim to identify
young people who have a cancer diagnosis and offer
them the chance to experience a treat such as a fine
dining experience or theatre trip which we hope will
relieve them of some of the burden of suffering that
they must endure, at least for a short time.
With the help of the relevant health care
professionals (HCPs), the charity has provided more
trips and evenings out to young people in need than
we did last year, and the number of referrals
continues to increase.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 During the year, the charity has successfully
continued fund raising and has built upon our
secure financial footing to continue the process
of helping young people with a cancer
diagnosis, as described above. We have regular
contributors and donations to the charity. In
June 2022 we held our second charity ball,
which was a great success both in terms of
fund-raising and raising awareness of the
charity.
We continued to use the referral criteria which
have been approved by health care
professionals. We have worked together with
our referrers and have continued to accept
referrals for items such as IT equipment,
gaming stations etc, but since covid restrictions
have been relaxed,we have been able to

provide more trips and treats for our target population. We have held regular trustee’s meetings for which minutes have been kept. We have moved back to face-to-face meetings since covid restrictions have been relaxed. We have kept accurate account records which have been independently examined. We have consolidated the number of referrals that we have accepted. Next year we plan to review and update our referral process to maintain and increase the momentum that we have achieved.
