## **Trustees' Report** 

The Foodbank has continued to experience consistently high levels of demand throughout the year. We remain committed to ensuring that individuals and families facing hardship receive timely support, while also helping them access longer-term advice and assistance. 

A significant development has been our partnership with the Citizens Advice Bureau, which provides a dedicated adviser at the Foodbank one day each week. All new clients are now signposted to this service before receiving their food parcel. This approach has proved highly successful, enabling clients to receive advice on issues such as benefits, debt, housing, and financial wellbeing alongside emergency food support. This support was paid via a grant from the Trussell Trust. 

Our volunteer team continues to be the backbone of the Foodbank. We currently have approximately 25 volunteers who are organised on a monthly rota, although several generously volunteer every week. Their commitment, compassion, and reliability have ensured that we can continue to meet the increasing demand for our services. 

To improve access to emergency support, we have expanded the number of emergency food boxes available across the district. By increasing the number of collection points, we are able to respond more quickly to urgent need and make support more accessible for those experiencing crisis. 

We have also strengthened our links with local schools. One of our trustees has been visiting schools to deliver training to staff on recognising the signs that families may be struggling financially and on how to make referrals to the Foodbank. This proactive approach has helped schools provide earlier support to vulnerable families and has strengthened our partnership with the education sector. 

The trustees would like to express their sincere thanks to our volunteers, referral agencies, schools, partner organisations, and the wider community for their continued support. Their dedication and generosity enable the Foodbank to continue serving those most in need across our district.
