We provide compassionate, practical support to people in crisis to tackle the root causes that lock people into poverty and build people's resilience so they are less likely to need a food bank in the future. The partnership with the Citizens Advice Bureau has assisted us with this. We have a representative once a week who assist our clients. We received a grant from the Trussell Trust to run this service.

We are a food bank facing increasing numbers of clients is grappling with a growing demand for services due to economic challenges, unemployment, rising food prices, and other factors impacting the local community.

In 2023/2024, the food bank faced significant challenges due to criminal activity that directly impacted its operations. Several of its storage containers were broken into, and valuable donations of food and toiletries were stolen. As a result, the food bank had to divert a substantial portion of its budget—around a third—toward increased security measures and repairing the damaged outbuildings. These unforeseen costs added pressure to the already strained resources, making it even more difficult to meet the rising demand from the community. The thefts not only disrupted the food bank's ability to serve clients but also highlighted the need for better security infrastructure to protect the donations and ensure the sustainability of its operations moving forward.
