Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Charitable Activities and Public Benefit

During the reporting year, the charity continued to support individuals struggling with addiction by referring them to partner rehabilitation facilities where appropriate care and recovery programmes are available.

The charity also continued to provide Christian activities, including weekly Bible study meetings held on Friday and Saturday evenings, which contribute to the spiritual wellbeing and community support of participants.

In addition, the charity maintained its ongoing support for Love and Blessings Orphanage in Kissi, Kenya. This support included the provision of food, clothing, and educational supplies for the children, as well as financial assistance towards the construction of new toilet and shower facilities to improve living conditions.

During the year, the charity also initiated a long-term self-sustainability project in collaboration with the leadership team at Love and Blessings Orphanage. This project involved the establishment of a brick-making enterprise aimed at enabling the orphanage to become financially selfsufficient within the next five years.

An initial production of approximately 30,000 bricks will be used to construct dormitory accommodation for the orphanage, removing the need to continue renting external buildings. Subsequent brick production will be sold commercially, generating sustainable income to support the orphanage’s ongoing operational costs.
