On 12, October 2016 the Morris Memorial Hall was registered as a
Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with the Charities
commission. The old unincorporated chariry (No. 304323) was
subsequently removed from the Charities Commission regiscer.

Title to the Morris Memorial Hall is registered with HM Land
Registry, Title Number ON332024
Original copies of documents including historical deeds relating to
the previous charity, (No 304323) are now lodged with Crowdy &
Rose Solicitors. 2 Market Place, Faringdon. Oxon SN7 7HW.
The truscees have considered major risks and have 2 robust risk
assessment policy in place to address fire safety and hall use. The
trustees meet periodically and use a derailed building maintenance
plan to manage the upkeep of the hall.

The objects of the CIO are to establish and run a village hall and to
promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Kelmscott and the
surrounding area ('Area of Benefit,) without distinction of sex,
sexual orientation, age, disability. nationality, race or political,
religious or other opinions the provision of facilities for recreation
or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of
such facilities by reason of their youth, age. infirmity or
disablemenc financial hardship or soci21 and economic
circumstances or for the public at large in che interests of social
welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of
the said inhabitants.

commission on public benefit.
The charity provides a building and facilities for the many
individu215 and organisations who use it. It is the hub of the village
and the only communiry facility freely available for all to use.

In addition co the benefits of learning through lectures,
encouragement of local craft through a weekly craft fair and social

events, rhe rrustees aim to further strengthen community spirit and
encourage more people to tske part in village hall activities by an
ongoing programme of community activities.

to its beneficiaries and through them to the public.

The Hall has been well used for bookings for parties and weddings.
The weekly craft fairs have been run from April to October and
they provide a steady income scream.
The hall is in a good state of repair with only the replacement of
the floor to be considered in the near future.
