TRUSTES ANNUAL REPORT for the year ended 31[st] March 2024

The trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 31st March 2023. The trustees have opted, under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Charities Act’), to prepare receipts and payments accounts

Objectives and Aims

The objects of the CIO are to advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public through holding prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of Christian festivals and enlighten others about Christianity.

Summary of main activities

Central London Forerunners (CLF) is a Christian congregation based in Central London. Since its formation, CLF has continued to pursue its purposes of advancing the Christian faith for the benefit of the public. The aim is to show the love of Jesus Christ in both word and deed and to bring people into a closer relationship with him as living Lord.

This is achieved through the following activities:

  1. Holding weekly prayer, bible studies and worship meetings;

  2. Hosting "Relationship rooms" for group discussions on the complexities of relationships

  3. Homeless outreach

  4. Facilitating the celebrations of Christian festivals

Public benefit

The trustees have read and given due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. The centre in the Philippines is licensed and accredited and monitored by the Standards Unit of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippines to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding for children in need.

Achievement and Performance Charitable activities

We continued with our online gatherings that were introduced in previous years in order to allow members of the group that are not London based to attend events with a view to creating a forum for the pursuit of spiritual growth, engagement with the community and encouragement of health relationships. During the year the following also took place:

  1. in-person/face to face gatherings in Central London at least once a month

  2. Various in person gatherings and workshops which were also open to the public including:

  3. Healing Room, a space for people to be ministered to through the Word and Prayer for healing

  4. Relationship Room for singles and couples to discuss, learn and grow in the area of relationships

  5. Created Creatives workshop, encouraging participants to use their gifts/talents, get creative and confident;

  6. Monday worship meetings – every Monday once more creating a space for people to get respite from their day to day and to take some time for the pursuit of praise and worship;

  7. celebration of various Festivals such as Rosh Hashanah Feast and Tabernacles, Purim celebration, Face to Face Encounters etc, all of which were also open to the public; and

  8. weekly prayer and worship sessions online throughout the year. Some of these were set up for specific people in need of support and encouragement i.e. for healing from sickness and other personal needs.

Financial review

Income for the year was £ 38,360 (PY 24,431), and expenditure £21,165 (PY: £9,272) leaving a surplus for the year of £17,195 (PY: £15,159)
