## **TRUSTES ANNUAL REPORT for the year ended 1[st] April 2022**

The trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 1st April 2022. The trustees have opted, under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Charities Act’), to prepare receipts and payments accounts

## **Objectives and Aims**

The objects of the CIO are to advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public through holding prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of Christian festivals and enlighten others about Christianity.

## **Summary of main activities**

Central London Forerunners (CLF) is a Christian congregation based in Central London. Since its formation, CLF has continued to pursue its purposes of advancing the Christian faith for the benefit of the public. The aim is to show the love of Jesus Christ in both word and deed and to bring people into a closer relationship with him as living Lord.

This is achieved through the following activities:

1. Holding weekly prayer, bible studies and worship meetings;

2. Hosting "Relationship rooms" for group discussions on the complexities of relationships

3. Homeless outreach

4. Facilitating the celebrations of Christian festivals

## **Public benefit**

The trustees have read and given due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. The centre in the Philippines is licensed and accredited and monitored by the Standards Unit of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippines to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding for children in need.

## **Achievement and Performance Charitable activities**

We continued with our online gatherings as launched in 2020 and introduced new ways to facilitate spiritual growth, engage the community and encourage relationships. During the year the following also took place:

1.. We returned to holding our in-person/face to face gatherings in various locations including a picnic in the Park to celebrate various Festivals such as Rosh Hashanah Feast and Tabernacles, Purim celebration, Face to Face Encounters, Heads Up(for men) and Relationship Room etc, all of which were also open to the public.

2. Introduction of new gatherings such as:

- (Online) Secrets of the Torah - a gathering which involves teaching and discussions. Also open to the public.

- (online and in person) Shulamite gatherings for women

3. We continued to hold prayer sessions online throughout the year for individuals specifically where people had requested prayer for personal circumstances i.e. for healing from sickness and other personal needs.

## **Financial review**

Income for the year was £ 25,554 (PY 28,892), and expenditure £4,408 (PY: £5,357) leaving a surplus for the year of £21,146 (PY: £23,535)

Unrestricted cash reserves held at the year-end amounted to £55,938 (PY £11.257)

## **Reserves policy**

The trustees have established a policy whereby the unrestricted funds not committed or invested in tangible fixed assets ('the free reserves') held by the Charity should be approximately three months of the resources expended. At this level the trustees feel that they would be able to continue the current activities of the Charity in the event of a significant drop in income.
