• Delivered events to engage with the public:
Bioblitzes (24-hour wildlife surveys) at East
Beckham Common in May and at Wood Norton
and Hindolveston Surveyors’Allotments in
June. These were aOended by local residents

wildlife events and gave presentaPons to
various groups to engage with and inform the
public about Felbeck Trust’s work and goals
• Regular species monitoring of birds, plants,
buOerfies and invertebrates carried out at our
sites by visiPng experts. The Felbeck Trust
Ringing Group. was established. Ringing takes
place at a number of Felbeck Trust sites under
the aegis of the BriPsh Trust for Ornithology,
• Carried out several fundraising events
including a folk concert in June 2024 and
‘Nature, Climate and the Church of England:
the Bishop of Norwich in ConversaPon with
Nick Acheson' in March 2025.The laOer also
served to spread the word about the work that
Felbeck Trust carries out.
• At the Norfolk Biodiversity Awards in
September 2024, Felbeck Trust won the
‘Groups’award while two of our sites - Sustead
and West Beckham Old Allotments were joint
runners-up in their‘Spaces for Nature’
category.
• Close working links conPnued with RSPB
OperaPon Turtle Dove, conPnuing progress
on making West Beckham Old Allotments
more suitable for aOracPng breeding Turtle
Dove. CollaboraPon with other local
landowners who are parPcipaPng in the
OperaPon Turtle Dove scheme.
• ConPnued to contribute to the NaPonal Trust
Riverlands project, including water quality
tesPng.
• Facilitated Corporate Volunteer days with
Marsh Insurance, Norwich, student volunteer
Pme with Gresham’s School, and volunteer

volunteers, sufficient funds were
maintained to continue to meet the Trust’s
core objectives in 2024-2025. However,
Trustees note few funding opportunities for
Felbeck Trust. Many funders remain
focused on grants to alleviate poverty.
Competition for less overall funding is now
greater for conservation projects. Very,
very few funding opportunities exist to help
with essential running costs (insurances,
web presence, venue hire for meetings,
etc.).
Money was raised by organising several
social events drawing on local connections
and communities which also serves to raise

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
