**Objects:** THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE CAPITAL AND INCOME OF THE TRUST FUND UPON TRUST FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY PROMOTING AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE APPRECIATION, UNDERSTANDING AND ENJOYMENT OF LITERATURE AND THE ARTS AND, IN PARTICULAR, THROUGH THE PROMOTION AND RUNNING OF A LITERARY FESTIVAL IN ILMINSTER TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO READ FOR PLEASURE AND TO INCREASE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF ANY MATTERS OF LITERARY, HISTORIC, ARTISTIC, ARCHITECTURAL, AESTHETIC OR SCIENTIFIC INTEREST.

**Activities:** Planning, researching and delivering a Literary Festival  in Ilminster. The festival includes many topics, speakers, authors, poets and journalists. We aim to involve as many schools as we can in some way and we offer a wide variety of venues in the locality and even wider neighbourhood of villages and hamlets. We use several hotels, restaurants,sports clubs and indeed a Masonic Lodge.
