## **1 Introduction**
The trustees present their annual report on the activities and performance of the Black Health Forum for the year ending 31[st] January. The report reflects the Black Health Forum’s continued commitment to addressing health inequalities and improving the wellbeing of Black African and African Caribbean communities.

## **2 Objectivities and Public Benefit**
## **The Charity’s Objects**
The charities objectives are to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, reduce social isolation and provide culturally appropriate health support. Priority is given to supporting adults and those who face barriers when trying to access services.
The trustees confirm that the charity’s activities are carried out for the public benefit in accordance with the Charity Commissions guidance.
## **Public Benefit Statement**
To set the charity’s objectives and plan activities, we have considered the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit for addressing improvement of health, access to services and advancement of education for the inhabitants of Bradford District and the African and African Caribbean communities.
## **3 Activities and Achievements**
Throughout the year, the Black Health Forum delivered a programme of wellbeing, dementia-friendly, cultural and community-based activities which included monthly Wellbeing Café sessions, health awareness events, intergenerational initiatives and community celebrations.
A significant milestone was reached during the year when the Black Health Forum recognised 25 years of advocacy, service and impact within the community.
Feedback from participants consistently highlights improved wellbeing, reduced loneliness, increased confidence and independence and a strong sense of community belonging
## **4 Financial Review**
The overall income for the year exceeded £25,000 and was generated through grants, donations, fundraising activities and partnership working. The expenditure supported the delivery of activities, operational costs and volunteer support.
On monitoring the charity’s financial position, the trustees are satisfied that all resources were used effectively and responsibly

## **5 Governance Structure and Management**
The Black Health Forum is governed by a Board of eight trustees who meet monthly and provide strategic direction. They ensure compliance with legal requirements and good governance practices. The Black Health Forum benefits from the commitment of its volunteers and community partner organisations to deliver its services.
## **6 Future Plans**
The trustees aim to build on the charity’s achievements by increasing services, strengthening partnerships, securing sustainable funding and continue advocacy to address health inequalities

## **Independent Examiners Report to the Trustees of Black Health Forum (Bradford)**
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Black Health Forum (Bradford). For the year ended 31 March 2025 set out on the attached pages.
## **Responsibilities and basis of the Report**
As the charity Trustees of the charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accorda the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity`s accounts carried out under Section 145 of the 201 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable directions given by the Charity C under section 145 (5) (b) of the Act
## **Independent Examiner`s Statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in conn with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect.
1) accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as requested by the Section 130 of the Act o 2) the accounts do not accord with those records, or
3) the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of acc set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the ac give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this respect in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
