Trust made on 8 May 2016.

The body ol trustees thro￿hOUl t1￿ period of thls report comprised the three original trustees. as
well as two others. Any furthef trustees must be appointed for a term of two year5 by a re501ution of
the trustees Pa55ed at a speclal meeting called in compllance with the Declaratk>n of Trust. A trustee
may resign his or her trusteeshlp at any time by notifylng the other trustees but only if enoush

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
This. the ei8hth year of the charity. saw si8nificant pro8ress in the development of our prokcts.
Our flagship PfORCt. the construction of Linda Communlty School, a school for vulnerable children in
Lwin8Stone. Zambia. continued with completA)n of two new s*niftant E￿ik1•n85. The new
science bk)ck Iwith water. electrKity and gas. as well as equipment for experlments) allows children
to Stu(ty hands on practKal Science for the first tin*. This is a major new teathing assel and several
other kKal 8overnrnent schools that lack such a tscilty have booked teachi￿ time there as well. We
also built an 'insaka' that Wa5 the subject of the Runner Up prize for the Ensineerint Outreach
Award from the Worshipful Company of E￿ineerS in the U.K. Thi5 sfrurture combine5 traditional
architectural elements with an innovative surroufbdin8 wall and interior bench made from 'eco-
brick5, made by children in Ihe sclM)ol. The 'lnsaka'. opened by the Mayor ot LNin85tone. is used to
SUPPOrt the feedir)g programme, as an additlonal teaching space and, outside School hour5, by our
women's empowerment Kroup. Both structures were bullt to budget. We a150 cooperated with
Livin85tone city Cnuncil in providing an improved access road and dry central area to the Khool Ithis
was on80in8 at the end of the reporting period). 2024 Saw the first Grade 12 (the senior school year
gfOUP in the Zambiarb edLKatbon 5V5ternl begin and cornplete their studies al the school-
significant development {when we lir5t began building the school it only provlded for the seven
pnmary school grades), They were supported with the requisite Grade 12 textb(KJks and desks. The
school also received its IxaminatK)n Centre status from the 8overnment. allowi￿ children io
publ￿ examlnatlons under the schoofs own auspices. We were •8ain able to distribute significant
uniform donations to the xhool {from supporting schools in the U.K.l. provide new desks and other
learning rnaieflals. as well as conduct maintenance to the existiry 51nKtures. Inten*t was installed
by sUPPOrters for the flrsl tlme In the head teacherfs office and clas5n)offls. Letter exchar%es
and video links (includinL for the firsl time. one featur6￿ choirsl betibten the school arml our
supporting St1￿1$ In the u.K. continued.
Our support to NekKtr￿Ya Primary SclM)ol alg) continued. A new aspect of this was facilitating
dyslexia training for the staff via video link from the U.K. Uniform from a 5upporti￿ school in the
U.K. was also donated to this school, Nekacheya also achieved Examination Centre sfatU5 duriry this
perH)d.
Our support to Njokomalomo Basic School in Westem Province18arotseland was expanded lo
include the con5truclion ot three boardin8 hut5, as we.ll a5 far.ilitatinK the constructbon of three more
by a partner or8anisation. Uniform donation5 were also distributed the￿.
Knitted donations made ty our supporters. as well as belry dlstributed in the community and at
Linda Community Scknol. We￿ a150 donated to thiklren at DÈ Santo Contre for The Deaf in
Livin8Stone. thher donation5 to the community incI￿led food and Clothi￿￿.
Our women's empowenTrent group. Tiyese I'LeYs Trf) Craft Initiative, continued to enjoy succes
As well as securing an outlel In a busy LNlrvdstone eatery. their products were also chosen to be in
the £rft shop of The Li¥ir*stone Museum. Zambia's premier museum. They also continued to make
curtains for our supported schools. They ￿C￿￿ed a major piete of rÈto8nilion when they were

Invited by the Mayor of Lr¥ing5tone to represent the city In the exhlbStlon tent durlng the visit of the
Presmlent of Zarnbia for International Women's Day. Pre5MJent Hthilema visited the frye5e stall a￿1
met thelr spokespefson. as well a5 two of our truslee5.
'Hornework Club, continued to be supported and developed at Linda Community School. Adult
ed￿ation cla55e5 continued there in the faciliti￿ we have prevhwsty txèilt. Some teachers at the
sch¢)ol were given support in enhancin8 their teaching qualificatlons.
Four of our trustees were able to visit Zambia and visit our FKojects during the reportln8 perw)d.
Three new schools in U.K. joined those thal already support us. They all enjoyed letter andlor art
exchanges with J School in Zambia as well as at least one video link durin8 this period. A dozen
schools now sUPPOrt the charity and derive benefit from It 1hro￿h their links to schools arHI children
in Zambla.
The yeaes fundraisi￿ aciivltles Invow events held by several of the schools. as well as bv
supporter5 in the U.K. {indud1￿ doln8 the Great North Run, other sponSo￿d funs. donatln8 the
Proceeds Ot open garden5 Stalls and a musk n￿ht} and Ireland Iwith bake and dress sales). Further
well received talk5 by trustees were 8ivÈn to Women's Instltutes. A suc￿$ShjI 2023 Big Give
Christmas Challen8e online campaign raised of the fvnding for a lar8e ablution block at Linda
Communlty khool that was built in the ￿xt reporting pefknd.
The charity recefved a second Movement For Good Award Irom Benefact Group.
At the end of the reporting period the charSty was well placed to continue pur5uin8 its obierts. As
well as wcce55ful fvndrai5in& the pefiod saw increased support and co-operation with the District
Education Board, the Mayor and the Cily Councll In Uvlngstone. all of whorn attended the openin8 of
the rbew science block and in5aka at Linda Community Sthool. The charity was able to confidentty
look fofward to further 5UPPOrtin8 its beneficiar*s in 2024/25.
