Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | 1. As for everyone, Covid has restricted our activities, despite several having been planned in anticipation of execution. However, we were able to achieve some excavation at Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, as part of our National Lottery-funded project conducted in partnership with the Bradgate Park Trust. The process and result of the excavations were disseminated to staff and volunteers via several socially-distanced meetings, and to visitors to the Park and the interested public via our website and Zoom. Both geology and archaeology were featured and further activities are planned in the hope of achievement in 2022. 2. The charity is managed by a board of Trustees who have had regard to the Charity Commissioners guidance on safeguarding and public benefit. The finances, which are considered satisfactory, are carefullycontrolled |
| and the accounts have been | |
|---|---|
| examined by an independent | |
| responsible person. | |
| 3. | Our present focus is to engage with |
| two other charities with sites known | |
| to have been visited by Late Upper | |
| Palaeolithic hunter-gatherers, which, | |
| together with a site which we have | |
| investigated, are all within the | |
| watershed of the river Trent. |
