## **– - Cheltenham Powerchair Football Club Annual Report 11.10.2022 to 10.10.2023.**

## Activities and achievements during the year

We are proud of the work that we as a club have done over the past year. We have successfully delivered a 3-day training camp for 24 players which was a great success and experience for those involved. We have been able to continue delivering weekly sessions along with the addition of further bonus sessions on both the adults and children’s side of the club. We have competed in both the National Championship and Southwest Powerchair Football League and were winners in both competitions which everyone associated with the club have been very proud to be a part of.

We have expanded in the number of volunteers and participants which has improved the quality of our sessions and has seen more relationships grow which we enjoy seeing.

## Aims and objectives.

Cheltenham Powerchair Football Club aims to provide a club which facilitates recreational and competitive powerchair football opportunities for people with a physical or learning disability. We are determined to continue growing as a club, being able to provide specialized powerchairs, equipment, coaching and support for people with disabilities in Gloucestershire.

The club is committed to providing a development pathway within the county and facilitating participants of all ability levels.

## Future Plans

Our main aims, especially for the next accounting period is to ensure we can support participants to thrive and develop in a safe, friendly, welcoming, and social environment. We are now aiming to provide more social opportunities, to go alongside our physical activity offer as this benefits our participants and their families significantly.

We are also aiming to expand into more teams over the next year who can compete in more competitions to further increase the opportunities for our participants to play competitive powerchair football.

As an organisation, we also aim to grow our volunteer base, upskilling volunteers and ensuring the club and committee very much remains the core of players and parents/carers, so they can help to guide the club forwards.
