TAR 2025 Finance: this commtlÈee continues to ensure that the charity's income atml expenditure is kept in line with the budget produced by the treasurer for the year. It works Closely with all other committees and Ihe fundraising team to evwre that the financial status of the charity is secure. Monthly reports are submitted to trustees meeting to keep all trustegs IormSd of the financial status of the charity at all limes. This committee is also responsible for the preparation of accounts for the Annual External examination of accounts as required. Human Resources: during the year, this committee has reviewed HR policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current employee legIatIon and best practice. TAR 2025 Bright Hope continues to be the leading organisation In North West Leicestershire providing a wide range of services to enable a better quality of life and supwtt to many who struggle with various conditions limiling the abilty to enjoy life. We have a dedicated stsff team supported by an equally dedicated team of volunteers lin excess of 1101 who suppJt more than 200 local guests and their carers on a weekly basis. Day Care Is dellvered at Bright Hope House in Swannington and our Ihree Support Cafes are held in Ashby de la Zouch, Coalvillelwhilwick and Ibslock. Carers b8nefit dlrectly by being able to relax and maybe do somethlng dtfferent knowing that Iheir loved one is well Cared for at Brlght Hope House or at the Supwrt Cafe. Our team of dedicated volunteer drwers enable us to help peopl& who do not have acces5 to their own vehicle. Despite our best efforts, our walling l¢st oonlinues to grow as more and more people become aware of our serviGes which are free al the point of delivery. TAR 2025 Voluntèers remain key to the successful njnning and maintaining of our services in all areas of the charity. They support our Day Care Servlc6s and run our Support Cafes under the supervision of our Care Services Manager. It continues to be the case th* we could not operate wlthwt our volunteers. The oblect Is to reduce the demand on public sejvices (mainly heallh and social core) preventing people reaching a crisis polnt and requiring costly care and support seNiGes. Social Prescribers work from each of the e1ve doctors surgories the distA¢t and handle patient referrals from local surgeries who psent with symptoms that can be Support with socsal care interventions. Our charity is the main "GO TO" for these patients and many of our referrals come to us from this team and the menlal health team. Local Universities now partner wlth us in respect of our counselling services with five sending 'fil to practice. Counsellng students who work under the guidance of our senior counsellor. All of these major steps (kjring the year were rewarded when in November 2025, the charity was awarded the Kings Award for Voluntary Services. This award was a testament to the loyalty, hard work and dedication of all of our staff and all of our volunteers and we were both very proud and very honoured to recewe Ihe award. Th8 formal presenlatson will b8 made in March 2026, with Ihe award officialty recognised in the birthday honours list of King Charles in November 2025.
