In the past Ihree years as per our objectives we diversified our activities and supported other welfare Gauses. Our main acttvity was to support SERVE of Sri Lanka. Estsblished in 1999. as a social work-based organization, which has empowered Servi￿ users from all ethnic and religious communities currently in 4 Distrscts in Sri Lanka. SERVE stands for Socio-economical, Ecological. Religious, Wirtuous. Empowerment. SERVE provides its ServI￿S at community level and institutions such as schools, preschools, communty centres and the female wards of Sri Lankan prisons. SERVE has promoted food security. income generation, job creation and savings through the Self-Help Group Approach for more than 15 years. Thereby, SERVE has acquired a wealth of experience about the development of children. youlh and women and idents'fied their needs that have to be fulfilled. Total of £ 11600 was sent to SERVE SL for their we￿are projects to help low-income groups. especially the urban poor living by daily wage eamings and Iow4ncome families struggling to meet their basic needs after the Covid 19 pandemic, the economic crisis and recovery plan of the Government which has induded downsizing welfare activities to limit the Govemment expenditure. Ghildren are facing shortages of food, nutrition and stationary items and as well as overall, as their parents do not have the financial capacity to provide for them. Para 120 Using the financial contribution from the Charity SERVE in th8 first stage successfully concluded providing nutrits'onal meal for students since January 2023. SERVE provided 6950 packets of cooked lunch for low-income students of 14 schools. These students are from a multiethnic and religious background. In 2024125 using the fvnds provided by the Charity SERVE set up the following welfare projects". 1. Provision of 150 nutritional lunch packets weekly for children belonging to low-income families. 2. Set up a centre wtth the ne￿$sary facilikn.es and tutors to provide tailoriThJ lessons to 75 women so they can get employment to support their families.
