In the past years the primary task of the
Charity has been to provide wells for
families in the Wanni area of northern Sri
Lanka. in rudimentary housing but without
water supplies.
In the past two years as per our objectives
we diversified our activlties and supported
other welfare causes.
Our main activity was to support SER VE of
Sri Lanka. Established in 1999, as a social
work-based
organization.
which has
empowered Servi￿ users from all ethnic
and religious communities currently in 4
Districts in Sri Lanka. SERVE stands for
SociiFeconomical, Ecological. Religious,
Virtuous. Empowem)ent. SERVE provides
its ServI￿S at community level and
institutions such as schools. preschools,
community centres and the female wards of
Sri Lankan prisons. SERVE has promoted
food security, income generation, job
creation and savings through the Self-Help
Group Approach for more than 15 years.
Thereby, SERVE has acquired a wealth of
experience about the development of
children. youth and women and identified
their needs that have to be fulfilled.

the National Secretsriat for Non-
Govemment Organizations in the Ministry
of Social servI￿s in Sri Lanka under L-

Mission of SERVE is to facilitate
empowerment of people especially children,
youth and women through a quality,
participatory. creative. sustainable and
scientific process.
Well-Being also continue to financially
support Trie Methodist Church Sri Lanka"
with their welfare programmes to help the
most severely affected families due to the
continuing economic hardships in Sri Lanka.

In planning our activities for the Charity's
ninth year of operation, the Trustees have
considered the guidance on public benefit
from the Charities Commission.

past.
However, Trustees have discussed the need
for Well Being activities being extended
make grants to other activities to alleviate
poverty and create sustainable livelihoods.

1. Enable food production by local
communities to confront food poverty

2. Providing basic sanitation facilities to
families in plantain areas
The charity has no paid employees. The
charity raises funds from the Trustees, and
theirfriends and contacts. All worl( in raising
funds is undertaken by the Trustees acting
in voluntary capacities. The Trustees
administer the Charity here in the UK.

Achievements and Perforniance

During 202312024 the Charity raised
£ 20097 from its friends and supporters.
Total of £ 16600 was sent to SERVE SL for
their welfare projects to help low-income
groups. especially the urban poor living by
daily wage eamings and low-income
families struggling to meet their basic needs
after the Covid 19 pandemic. the economic
crisis and recovery plan of the Govemment
which has included downsizing welfare
activities
to
limit the
Govemment
expenditure.
Children are facing shortages of food,
nutrition and stationary items and as well as
overall, as their parents do not have the
financial capacity to provide for them.

Using the financial contribution from the
Charity SERVE in the first stage
successfully
concluded providing
nutritional meal for students since January
2023. SERVE provided 6950 packets of
cooked lunch for low-income students of 14
schools. These students are from a
multiethnic and religious background.
As the second stsge with the balance funds
from the Charity SERVE started a new
project to provide 150 nutritional lunch
packets weekly for children belonging to
low-income families.
