This will enhance the**
**educational services provided by these**
**facilities**|
|Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.|Para 1.17 and
1.19|**Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic**
**and the resulting national lockdown**
**CCLN’s activities were severely**
**curtailed.**
**Most activity was carried out virtually.**
**The challenges of coping with the**
**ongoing situation resulted in partner**
**organisations, including museums,**
**libraries and other cultural bodies**
**refocusing their activities on survival.**
**School closures and any on-going**
**restrictions impacted CCLN’s ability to**
**engage with learning groups. This led to**
**a drop in project activity and planned**
**projects being postponed or cancelled**
**all together. CCLN refocused its main**
**activity in West Cumbria to minimise the**
**need for travelling.**
**Partner organisations saw repeated**
**changes in personnel due to Covid 19**
**which resulted in retirement, re-**
**deployment and redundancies. This**
**affected CCLN’s ability to engage with**
**partners.**
**CCLN shifted its focus and resources to**
**survival, with activity mostly suspended**|

**or transferred to on-line activity where possible. Activity carried included working with partners to develop new hybrid ways of working. This resulted in CCLN reaching 1726 young people in careers events, on-line interviews and associated activity in partnership with Inspira. In response to the on-going pandemic CCLN prioritised developing a new forward plan to manage the new situation and in anticipation of any postpandemic activity.**
