For the purposes of this clause: Charilies are organisations which are estsblished for exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Voluntary organisations are independent or8anisations. which are established for purposes that add value to the community as a whole, or a si8nificant section of the community, and thal are not perniiiied by their conslitulion lo make a profit for private distribution. Voluntary organisations do nol include local government or other statutory authorilies. Structure, Governance and Management The Trust was created as a new charity and regislered on 26 September 2016. It was formed by Haslemere Council in order lo further charitable funding for voluntary organisations in and around Haslemere. The trustees meet at least quarterly to review grant applications and io ensure that the governance of the charity meets required slandards. Town Councillors are invited to become trustees as well as interested local residents.

The trustees have all received a copy of the Charity Commission's document 'the essential truslee: whai you need to know, what you need to do. (CC3) and have signed a Code of Conduci for trusl¢es. Policy reviews are carried out annually, with existing polici¢s ulad &s requtred and new ones developed where necessary. Finaneixl Review The Trust r¢¢¢iv¢s donalions, grants and bequests and seeks to redistribule these to voluntary organisations in the Haslemere area. During 2025 (the charity's ninth year of operations), the trustees agreed to support a wide rdnge of local endeavours and good causes. The Receipts and Payments Accounts (see pages 6-7> show the origin of receipts and donations. and also to whom granls were made during the year. A balance of £15.844.27 was available at 31 December 2025 for distribution. This included a "restricted fund" of £3.462.17 (held on behaifof the Wellness and Fitness Foundation - see "Summary of Activities and Chairn)an s Rep)rt- below). so the nei balance available lo support future gyrant applications was £12.382.1 O. The trustees do not consider that a reserves policy is rwuir¢d. Publlc Ben¢fit Statement In a¢Lordanc¢ with th¢ obj¢clives slaled aEK)ve. Ihe trustees have ensured thai the Trust has fully complied with ils conslilution. They have also treated every applicant fairly and equally and ensured that no unjustified requiremeni or condiiion is imposed which could disadvantage applicants purely on any of the protected characlerislics defined by the Equality Aci 2010 (i.e. age. disability- giender reassignment. marriage and civil partnership: pregnancy and maternity; race: religion or b¢li¢f; s¢x/g¢nder or s¢xual ori¢nlation). Summary of Activities We have often questioned the necessity for our role locally when there seems to be so much support for charity works in and around Haslemere. However, each lime we do ihis another need springs up where we can help. Green & Blue Studios is one such example. They provide wellness and fitness sessions for cancer palients and their caregivers and it has b¢¢n our pl¢&sur¢ to help th¢m lo find their feet by hosting their finances. It has been greal to support the Haslemere Youth Hub again as their 'ork young teenagiers has taken another turn with thos¢ who have chosen to be educated at home. The Hub provides a place where they can la1]Se, a very necessary need for these young people.
THE HASLEMERE PENNY HA'PE]¥NY TRUST Report of the Trustees for the year ended 31 December 2025 Summary of Activities (conlinued) Th¢ largest needs in Haslemere are frequenily to k found in the state schools. for projects which are often "ex curriculum" and so sadly do nol get funding from central government. During the year we provided grdnts totslling £6.150 for Graysholl. Grayswood and St. Bartholomew's Primary Schools. Shoiterniill Infants Sch(K)l and W(x)Imer Hill School (part of the Weydon Multi Academy Tnist). On the incom¢ front we had one our best years wtth grants and donations amounting to £18,71 l. This is great to witness &s Ihe fostering of charitsble funding for local voluntary gTroups was the key aim of the charity when it W&8 set up in 2016. Haslemere is a very generous town, as many organisaiions will agree. however the right "vehicles" are needed and we are proud io have agreed £l1.498 in grants in 2025. Trustee Changes We are always grateful to our trustees who gtve their ttme freely and were also pleased to welcome Ni¥el Howarth and Carol Knight, who joined us in September 2025. Trustees are appoinl¢d for thre¢-year temis and the Current period of office for Iwo of them (Jacqui Robini and Kevin Whiteley} expired in 2025. Jacqui agreed to stand for a further three years and was duly -eleCted at the Iruslees, meeting held on 2 April. Kevin advised the same meeting thai he did not wish to seek re- election. but agreed to stay on pending the app)intment of a new TrUre[. Kevin has introduced a very sound financial and management structure. for which we are all very grateful. He has also been diligeni in ensuring that our new Treasurer (Carol Knight) RS well placed to thke up her new role from January 2026. Two other Trustees will be standing down in January 2026 after 9 years. service. namely Richard Bodle and Malcolm Carter. Richard will remain a-friend" of the charity and Malcolm will continue lo assist in a secretarial role. Malcolm's successor &$ the Chair of the Trustees is Jerome Davidson. who has been a Trustee since 2023. We are grateful to him laking on this Tole. Awareness and Promotion The Trust's web site (htt :Iltheh ht.or .uk) has been very helpful in publicizing our work and most grant applications nov¢ come through this route. In addition, the Trusl seeks to raise awareness of Haslemere's very own chariiy by participating in local events (such as the bi-annual Charter Fair and the town's annual Chrisimas Market) and by posting updates on its activities via Facebook

Responsibilities and Basis of Report As the charity trustees of the Trusl, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with ihe requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'Ihe Acl,).
