Section D
Achievements and performance
Summary of the maln
achievements of the charity
during the year
The autumn term 2020 saw a healthy number of children attending the
pre-school. During this term, there was some disruption due to COVID-
19, however the children still enjoyed the usual activities and a Chrislmas
party.
During the spring and summer terms 2021. the pre-school staff worked
hard to meet the government guidelines and keep the pre-school open
and COVID safe. The children continued to adapt well with guidan￿ and
support from the staff. The children enjoyed the usual activities and
termly topics and continued to benefit from the garden, gardening project
and outside veranda. No partners were able to visit, however the staff
were creative and provided a variety of sessions, where possible, such
as sport and music.
All the staff were involved in slaff development and have undergone the
relevant Iraining (virtually) with th8 LEA.
The website has continued to be developed and parents also received
regular emails to keep them up to date with events, news and general
information. In particular, parents were kept up to date with the changing
guidelines due to COVID. The sharing of information was much
appreciated by the families and their children.
OnGe again, due to COVID, potential parents and families were restricted
from visiting the pre-school. However, virtual visits continued to be
offered and new children are scheduled to start in the Autumn term 2021.
The staff have worked hard during the year which has presented many
challenges due to COVID, and they are to be commended for their
commitment and resilience.
