## **Our Profile**

**Missio Africanus** , founded in 2014, is a learning community focused on empowering African and other non-Western Christians in Britain for mission work. Our goal is to help UK churches benefit from the skills of diaspora Christians, while also enabling these communities to disciple their next generation and expand their outreach beyond their own groups. We achieve this by fostering mutual learning between British and non-Western church leaders, which strengthens the wider church.

Our organisation began in Birmingham with support from the late Reverend Gabriel Diya, a Nigerian RCCG pastor from Charlton. Since then, we've brought together a diverse group of mission leaders from various denominations, backgrounds, and theological viewpoints to explore how we can participate in God's mission today.

## What We Do

## **MA & UG CERTIFICATE IN THEOLOGY, MINISTRY AND MISSION (AFRICAN CHRISTIANITY)**

Launched in 2021 in partnership with CMS Oxford, this pioneering programme aims to bridge the knowledge gap many Christians have about the African Church and its influence on world Christianity, particularly in the UK and the Western world. Now in its fourth year, it has not only inspired the addition of an Undergraduate Certificate route in 2024 but also paved the way for a new Asian Christianity stream. All pathways are approved for ordination training within the Church of England.

Witness and Human Migration (Acts 11 Project), a unique initiative that fosters ongoing dialogue about human migration and its vital implications for Christian faith and mission.

## **GLOBAL WITNESS, GLOBALLY REIMAGINED**

’ This is our Executive Director s substack. In this fortnightly newsletter, Dr Harvey Kwiyani explores the shifting landscape of Christian mission in the twenty-first century through the lens of World Christianity. reconfiguration. Each edition offers a reflective thought, a couple of curated resources, and three thought-provoking quotes on mission— designed to inspire, equip, and energise readers ’ for faithful global witness in today s world.
