The objects of the CIO are to advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales) as the trustees see fit from time to time in particular but not limited to: (1) advancing the education of young people in engineering for the public benefit by making grants and awards to young people engaged in education or training and training institutions (2) the prevention and relief of sickness by making grants and awards to charities working with those suffering from dementia and cancer.
