|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The digital archive was further expanded<br>and now contains over 8,000 items or<br>collections.<br>In the spring of 2023, a redundant cold war<br>cabin was recovered from within RAF<br>Marham and relocated to the Centre. This<br>is in the process of being restored and<br>renovated, with a view to serving as an<br>annex to the Centre. The ultimate goal will<br>be to restore electrical power to it allowing<br>various cold war displays to be housed<br>within the cabin.<br>The Heritage Centre held an event in<br>October 2023 to commemorate the English<br>Electric Canberra. The event was highly<br>successful with approximately 250 guests<br>across the entire weekend.<br>Over the course of the year, the Heritage<br>Centre welcomed in the region of 3,100<br>visitors, which included over multiple large<br>group visits from a variety of schools, clubs<br>and associations.<br>In October 2023 the Centre ran an aviation<br>patch event, which was a resounding<br>success with several hundred visitors over<br>a weekend.<br>In November 2023, the Heritage Centre<br>purchased a new computer and VR<br>headset to allow visitors to experience the<br>‘Berlin Blitz’, which details the story of a<br>207 Squadron operational Lancaster sortie<br>in WWII. This has proved so immersive and<br>popular that a second set up is being<br>considered, and also other missions are<br>being looked at to further the capability the<br>Centre offers.|
